Description
Alabama White Blackened Chicken Sliders are a delicious and flavorful dish featuring blackened chicken thighs served on slider buns with fresh toppings and Alabama white sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- 2 tablespoons blackening seasoning
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 8 slider buns
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 medium tomato, sliced
- ½ cup Alabama white sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels and season both sides with blackening seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Add olive oil to the skillet or brush it on the grill grates. Cook the chicken for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F. Remove from heat and let rest for a few minutes.
- While the chicken is resting, toast the slider buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.
- Slice the chicken thighs into strips or leave them whole, then assemble the sliders by placing a piece of chicken on the bottom half of each bun. Top with shredded lettuce, a slice of tomato, and a generous drizzle of Alabama white sauce.
- Place the top half of the bun on each slider and serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in the blackening seasoning and olive oil for at least 30 minutes before cooking.
- Try adding pickles or jalapeños for a spicy kick, or substitute the chicken with grilled shrimp for a seafood twist.
