Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 2 cups snow peas, trimmed
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/4 cup beef broth or water
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooked rice or noodles for serving
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the sliced beef, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Mix well and let marinate for 15 minutes.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and ginger, sautéing for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the marinated beef to the skillet, cooking for 3-4 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the snow peas and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until they are bright green and tender-crisp.
- Return the beef to the skillet, add the beef broth or water, and stir to combine. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until everything is heated through.
- Drizzle with sesame oil, season with salt and pepper to taste, and serve over cooked rice or noodles.
Notes
- For added crunch, toss in some sliced bell peppers or carrots along with the snow peas.
- Substitute chicken or tofu for the beef to customize the protein source to your preference.
