Description

A quick and easy Beef and Snow Pea Stir-Fry recipe that is perfect for a weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups snow peas, trimmed
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup beef broth or water
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice or noodles for serving

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the sliced beef, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Mix well and let marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and ginger, sautéing for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add the marinated beef to the skillet, cooking for 3-4 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the snow peas and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until they are bright green and tender-crisp.
  5. Return the beef to the skillet, add the beef broth or water, and stir to combine. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until everything is heated through.
  6. Drizzle with sesame oil, season with salt and pepper to taste, and serve over cooked rice or noodles.

Notes

  • For added crunch, toss in some sliced bell peppers or carrots along with the snow peas.
  • Substitute chicken or tofu for the beef to customize the protein source to your preference.
