Description

Cinnamon Pull-Apart Monkey Bread is a delightful treat made with biscuit dough, coated in a cinnamon-sugar mixture, and baked to perfection.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cans (16.5 oz each) refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick), melted
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a bundt pan with cooking spray or butter.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon.
  3. Open the biscuit dough and cut each biscuit into quarters.
  4. Roll each quarter in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until fully coated.
  5. Layer half of the coated biscuit pieces in the bottom of the prepared bundt pan. If using, sprinkle half of the chopped nuts over the biscuit layer.
  6. In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until well combined. Pour half of this mixture over the first layer of biscuits.
  7. Add the remaining biscuit pieces on top, followed by the rest of the nuts (if using) and the remaining butter mixture.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the biscuits are cooked through.
  9. Allow the monkey bread to cool for 10 minutes in the pan, then carefully invert it onto a serving plate.
  10. Serve warm and enjoy pulling apart the delicious pieces!

Notes

  • For a fun twist, add chocolate chips or dried fruit to the biscuit layers for extra flavor.
  • Serve with a drizzle of icing made from powdered sugar and milk for a sweet finishing touch.
