Description
A delicious and creamy guacamole with a spicy kick from chipotle powder, perfect for dipping or as a topping.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 ripe avocados
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon chipotle powder (adjust to taste)
- 1 small tomato, diced
- 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1 small jalapeño, seeded and minced (optional)
Instructions
- Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl.
- Mash the avocados with a fork or potato masher until creamy but still slightly chunky.
- Add lime juice, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and chipotle powder to the bowl. Mix until well combined.
- Gently fold in the diced tomato, red onion, cilantro, and jalapeño (if using).
- Taste and adjust seasoning, adding more lime juice or chipotle powder if desired.
- Serve immediately with tortilla chips or cover with plastic wrap pressed directly onto the surface of the guacamole to prevent browning if not serving right away.
Notes
- For a creamier texture, add 1-2 tablespoons of sour cream or Greek yogurt.
- To add a twist, try mixing in some diced mango or pineapple for a sweet contrast.
