Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1 cup cooked ham, diced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 package (17.3 ounces) frozen puff pastry sheets, thawed
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped spinach, diced ham, shredded cheddar cheese, cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the thawed puff pastry sheets. Cut each sheet into 4 squares.
  4. Place a generous tablespoon of the filling in the center of each pastry square. Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling to create a triangle or rectangle shape, pressing the edges to seal.
  5. Transfer the filled puffs to the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with the beaten egg to give them a golden color when baked.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the puffs are golden brown and flaky.
  7. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, consider adding a pinch of red pepper flakes to the filling for a bit of heat.
  • You can also substitute the ham with cooked chicken or turkey for a different twist.
