Description
A flavorful recipe for Spicy Chicken Adana Kebab, perfect for grilling enthusiasts.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground chicken
- 1 small onion, finely grated
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tablespoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 8 skewers (if using wooden skewers, soak in water for 30 minutes)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, grated onion, minced garlic, chopped parsley, red pepper flakes, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- Cover the mixture and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Lightly brush the skewers with olive oil to prevent sticking.
- Divide the chicken mixture into 8 equal portions and mold each portion around a skewer, pressing firmly to ensure it holds its shape.
- Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is fully cooked and has nice grill marks.
- Remove from the grill and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
- Serve the kebabs with warm pita bread, fresh vegetables, and your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- For a milder flavor, reduce the amount of red pepper flakes or omit them entirely.
- Serve with a yogurt sauce made from plain yogurt, cucumber, garlic, and a squeeze of lemon for added freshness.
