Delicious and spicy shrimp tacos topped with creamy avocado crema, perfect for a quick and satisfying meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 8 small corn tortillas
- 1 cup shredded cabbage
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- 1 avocado
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the olive oil, chili powder, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Add the shrimp and toss to coat evenly. Let marinate for 15 minutes.
- While the shrimp is marinating, prepare the avocado crema. In a blender or food processor, combine the avocado, sour cream, lime juice, and a pinch of salt. Blend until smooth and creamy. Set aside.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are pink and opaque.
- Warm the corn tortillas in a separate skillet or microwave until pliable.
- To assemble the tacos, place a few shrimp on each tortilla. Top with shredded cabbage, diced tomatoes, and chopped cilantro. Drizzle with avocado crema.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
- For extra heat, add sliced jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce to the tacos.
- Substitute the shrimp with grilled chicken or tofu for a different protein option.
