Description

Delicious and spicy shrimp tacos topped with creamy avocado crema, perfect for a quick and satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 8 small corn tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1 avocado
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the olive oil, chili powder, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Add the shrimp and toss to coat evenly. Let marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. While the shrimp is marinating, prepare the avocado crema. In a blender or food processor, combine the avocado, sour cream, lime juice, and a pinch of salt. Blend until smooth and creamy. Set aside.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are pink and opaque.
  4. Warm the corn tortillas in a separate skillet or microwave until pliable.
  5. To assemble the tacos, place a few shrimp on each tortilla. Top with shredded cabbage, diced tomatoes, and chopped cilantro. Drizzle with avocado crema.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • For extra heat, add sliced jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce to the tacos.
  • Substitute the shrimp with grilled chicken or tofu for a different protein option.
