Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken thighs
  • 2 tablespoons blackening seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 8 slider buns
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 medium tomato sliced
  • ½ cup Alabama white sauce store-bought or homemade
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

  1. Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels and season both sides with blackening seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add olive oil to the skillet or brush it on the grill grates. Cook the chicken for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F. Remove from heat and let rest for a few minutes.
  4. While the chicken is resting, toast the slider buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.
  5. Slice the chicken thighs into strips or leave them whole, then assemble the sliders by placing a piece of chicken on the bottom half of each bun. Top with shredded lettuce, a slice of tomato, and a generous drizzle of Alabama white sauce.
  6. Place the top half of the bun on each slider and serve immediately.

  • Try adding pickles or jalapeños for a spicy kick, or substitute the chicken with grilled shrimp for a seafood twist.
