For the Pasta and Cream
  • 1 cup Orzo Pasta look for gluten-free alternatives if needed
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream can be replaced with half-and-half or non-dairy alternatives
  • 1/2 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese omit for a dairy-free recipe
For the Finishing Touch
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil used for sautéing
  • to taste Fresh Basil or Parsley (garnish) enhances presentation

Cooking Steps

  5. Combine the Tomato Base: Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Simmer for about 10 minutes.
  6. Stir in the Cream: Reduce heat, add heavy cream, and simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
  7. Mix in the Orzo: Gently fold in the cooked orzo and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  8. Garnish and Serve: Let it rest, then serve warm garnished with fresh herbs.
