Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup cooked and crumbled turkey sausage
  • 1/4 cup diced bell peppers
  • 1/4 cup diced tomatoes
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish optional

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add the Greek yogurt to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms. If the dough is too sticky, add a little more flour.
  4. On a floured surface, roll out the dough into a circle about 1/4 inch thick. Transfer it to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together the eggs, black pepper, and garlic powder.
  6. Spread the cooked turkey sausage, diced bell peppers, and diced tomatoes evenly over the dough.
  7. Pour the egg mixture over the toppings, then sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
  8. Drizzle olive oil over the pizza for added flavor.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
  10. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired, then slice and serve.
