  • 1/2 cup Buttermilk milk + vinegar can substitute

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Melt the butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion, garlic, carrots, celery, and mushrooms. Sauté for about 5-6 minutes until softened.
  2. Sprinkle flour over the sautéed vegetables, stirring for 1-2 minutes. Gradually pour in the broth and heavy cream, whisking until smooth. Add paprika, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes until thickened.
  3. Fold in shrimp, crab meat, peas, and parsley into the sauce. Set aside to cool slightly.
  4. In a mixing bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, garlic powder, and salt. Fold in cheddar cheese. Drizzle in melted butter and buttermilk, mixing until just combined.
  5. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Pour filling into a greased baking dish. Drop biscuit dough over the filling, leaving some exposed. Brush tops with melted butter and sprinkle additional parsley. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
