Step-by-Step Instructions
- Begin by bringing a medium saucepan filled with fresh, filtered water to a gentle boil over medium-high heat.
- Once boiling, carefully add the black tea bags, frozen cherries, and a cinnamon stick to the water. Sweeten with honey or sugar, stirring to dissolve.
- Fill a large pitcher halfway with ice cubes to chill the tea quickly.
- Remove the tea bags and cinnamon stick after steeping. Stir in vanilla extract and pour the tea through a fine strainer into the pitcher over the ice.
- Place the pitcher in the refrigerator and allow the tea to chill for at least one hour.
- When ready to serve, stir the tea gently and pour over fresh ice in individual glasses, optionally garnishing with additional cherries or lemon.
