Step-by-Step Instructions for Creamy-Cheesy Spinach Squares
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x9 inch baking pan with softened unsalted butter.
  2. Thaw and squeeze moisture from frozen chopped spinach or prepare fresh spinach.
  3. Whisk together all-purpose flour, baking powder, kosher salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and nutmeg in a mixing bowl.
  4. In a larger bowl, whisk together eggs, ricotta cheese, and cheddar cheese, then mix in melted butter.
  5. Fold in the spinach and dry ingredients until just combined.
  6. Spread the mixture evenly in the prepared baking pan.
  7. Bake for 35 minutes, until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
