Step-by-Step Instructions
- In a medium bowl or a mason jar, combine 1 cup of old-fashioned oats with 1 cup of milk and ½ cup of plain Greek yogurt. Stir well to ensure that the oats are thoroughly coated with the milk and yogurt.
- Add 4 ounces of softened cream cheese, 2 tablespoons of honey or maple syrup, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract to the oat mixture. Blend everything together until smooth and creamy.
- Gently fold in 1 cup of diced fresh strawberries, mashing a few while mixing to release their juices.
- Transfer the mixture into a mason jar or an airtight container. Layer with additional strawberries if desired. Seal the container tightly and ensure it's stored in the refrigerator.
- When ready to enjoy, take the jar out of the fridge. Stir the oats well and add a splash of milk if the mixture seems too thick.
- Top your oatmeal with garnishes such as crushed graham cracker, sliced almonds, chia seeds, or whipped cream.
