Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, water, yeast, and salt. Mix until a shaggy, sticky dough forms. Cover and let it rest for about 20 minutes.
  2. Leave the covered dough at room temperature for 1 to 2 hours until it doubles in size.
  3. Gently punch down the risen dough, shape it into a loaf, and score the top with a knife.
  4. Transfer the shaped dough onto parchment paper, cover loosely, and let it rise for about 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 450°F (232°C).
  5. Carefully remove the hot Dutch oven, place the dough inside using the parchment paper, cover with the lid, and bake for 30 minutes.
  6. After 30 minutes, remove the lid and bake for an additional 10 to 15 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Remove the bread from the Dutch oven and cool completely on a wire rack before slicing.
