Method
 

Instructions
  1. Begin by washing a generous handful of fresh mint and lemon verbena leaves under cold running water. Pat them dry and prepare for the next step.
  2. In a medium saucepan, bring four cups of filtered water to a rolling boil. Remove from heat, add the prepped mint and lemon verbena leaves, and steep for 5 minutes.
  3. Strain the herbal infusion into a pitcher, discarding the solid leaves. Let it cool to room temperature for 15-20 minutes, then refrigerate for at least one hour.
  4. Fill glasses with clean, filtered ice, and pour the chilled iced tea over the ice. Garnish with lemon slices.
