  2. Divide the dough into four equal portions and roll into circles about 6-1/2 inches in diameter. Heat canola oil in a deep skillet over medium heat to 375°F. Fry the dough circles for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté ground beef and chopped onion until browned and translucent. Drain excess fat and stir in salt, garlic powder, and pepper.
