  • 2 cups Cornflakes Can substitute with puffed rice or thin poha
  • 1 cup Makhana (Fox Nuts)
  • 1/2 cup Cashews Use whole or split
  • 1/2 cup Raisins Can swap with dried cranberries
  • 1/2 cup Peanuts
  • 1/2 cup Roasted Gram Dal
For Extra Crunch
  • 1 cup Sev Can substitute with any crunchy snack mix
  • 1 cup Boondi
For Flavoring
  • 2 tbsp Chivda Spice Mix Adjust according to taste
  • 2 pieces Green Chillies Adjust based on spice preference
  • 2 pieces Red Chillies
  • 6 leaves Curry Leaves
For Cooking
  • 1 tbsp Cooking Oil Used for brushing the air fryer basket

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 180°C (356°F) for about 3-5 minutes and lightly brush the basket with cooking oil.
  2. Combine your chosen chivda spice mix ingredients in a bowl and set aside.
  3. In the air fryer basket, combine cornflakes, makhana, cashews, and raisins; air fry at 190°C (374°F) for 2-3 minutes until golden.
  4. Add peanuts and roasted gram dal; air fry for another 2-3 minutes, stirring halfway.
  5. Add sev and boondi, air fry for 2 minutes, checking frequently.
  6. Prepare the tadka by heating oil in a pan, adding green and red chillies with curry leaves, stir-fry until crisp.
  7. Combine air-fried ingredients with the tadka and sprinkle with the chivda spice mix, toss to coat evenly.
  8. Allow to cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
