Steps for Preparation

  2. Cut apricots in half, remove pits, and arrange them cut-side up in the prepared dish.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Gradually add flour and salt to the mixture, stirring gently until lump-free.
  5. Pour the batter over the apricots in the dish and sprinkle sliced almonds on top.
  6. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until puffed and golden, and a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Allow the clafoutis to cool slightly before slicing and serving, dusting with powdered sugar if desired.
