- In a large pot, heat a splash of oil over medium heat and sauté one finely chopped onion and two diced tomatoes for about 5–7 minutes until onions are translucent and tomatoes soften.
- Add in about 1 pound of diced turkey and stir well. Brown for 10 minutes until golden.
- Sprinkle in your desired seasonings and let simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring regularly.
- Add any additional vegetables and cook for another 5 minutes.
- Fold in 1-2 cups of sliced fresh okra, cooking for 3–5 minutes.
- Add about 1 pound of shrimp and cook for 3–5 minutes until they turn pink.
- Taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary, and let simmer for another 2 minutes before serving.
