Method
 

Focaccia Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.
  2. Pour in warm water and olive oil, stirring until a shaggy dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5 to 7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Let the dough rise in a lightly oiled bowl covered with a towel for 1 hour.
  5. Prepare your choice of assorted vegetables and fresh herbs.
  6. Once risen, punch down the dough, shape it, and place it on a lined baking sheet.
  7. Cover the dough and let it rest for 20 to 30 minutes.
  8. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  9. Create dimples in the dough, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with sea salt.
  10. Arrange the vegetables and herbs artistically on top of the dough.
  11. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown.
  12. Let the focaccia cool on a wire rack for at least 10 minutes before slicing.
