Steps for Preparing Pinwheels
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- On a floured surface, roll out the thawed puff pastry to create a large rectangle about 1/8 inch thick.
- Spread an even layer of Dijon mustard over the surfaced puff pastry, then layer ham and cheddar cheese evenly on top.
- Starting from one end, tightly roll the pastry into a log shape and refrigerate for about 30 minutes.
- After chilling, slice the log into 1-inch thick pinwheels and arrange them cut-side up on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the pinwheels are puffed and golden brown.
- Let the pinwheels cool slightly before serving warm.
