Step-by-Step Instructions for Easter Poke Cake
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) as per the package instructions for the cake mix.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the vanilla cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix on medium speed until smooth.
  3. Pour the batter into a greased 9x13 inch baking pan and bake for about 30 minutes. Check for doneness with a toothpick.
  4. Cool the cake for 10 minutes and then poke holes all over the surface with the handle of a wooden spoon.
