Method
 

Directions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Pat the trout fillet dry with paper towels and place it skin-side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. Brush the trout fillet generously with olive oil, covering all surfaces.
  4. In a small bowl, combine smoked paprika, kosher salt, onion powder, garlic powder, dried thyme, black pepper, oregano, and cayenne pepper to create the spice mixture.
  5. Sprinkle the spice mixture evenly over the trout fillet, pressing it gently into the fish.
  6. Bake the trout fillet in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, checking for doneness at 145°F.
  7. Allow the baked trout fillet to rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
