  1. Prepare the freeze-dried strawberries by processing them in a food processor until mostly powdered, about 1-2 minutes.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened salted butter and powdered sugar. Beat until smooth and creamy.
  3. Add the vanilla extract, milk, and strawberry powder to the mixture. Mix until fully combined.
  4. Flatten the dough into a disk shape, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 15 minutes.
  5. Roll the chilled dough between parchment paper to 1/4 inch thick and cut out heart shapes.
  6. Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C) and bake cookies for 13-15 minutes until edges are faintly golden.
  7. Allow cookies to cool, then prepare the glaze by mixing strawberry powder, powdered sugar, and milk to achieve a smooth consistency.
  8. Spread the glaze over cooled cookies and sprinkle with crushed freeze-dried strawberries. Allow glaze to set for 20 minutes.
