Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked shredded chicken, marinara sauce, ricotta cheese, dried basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix until well blended.
  3. Spread half of the chicken mixture evenly on the bottom of a 9×13 inch casserole dish and sprinkle with half of the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese.
  4. Layer the remaining chicken mixture on top, then distribute the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese evenly.
  5. Sprinkle whole wheat breadcrumbs generously over the top.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, until cheese is bubbling and the top is golden brown.
  7. Let casserole cool for a few minutes before serving. Drizzle extra marinara sauce on top if desired.
