Method
 

Steps
  1. Start by pouring 1 cup of water into a medium-sized pot and bring it to a vigorous boil for about 3-5 minutes.
  2. Once boiling, add the freshly peeled orange peel and a cinnamon stick. Lower the heat to a gentle simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add a black tea bag to the pot and let it steep for 3-5 minutes, maintaining the gentle simmer.
  4. Remove the pot from heat and strain the tea into a heatproof cup using a fine mesh strainer.
  5. While the tea is still hot, stir in brown sugar and vanilla extract to taste until fully dissolved.
  6. Incorporate 1 cup of your choice of milk into the strained tea mixture.
  7. If desired, strain the mixture again before serving and garnish with additional orange peel or a slice of orange.
