- Start by selecting two ripe avocados. Cut each avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the creamy flesh into a blender.
- Add 1/4 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder and 3 tablespoons of maple syrup or honey into the blender with the avocado flesh.
- Secure the lid on the blender and blend on high speed until completely smooth and creamy, about 1-2 minutes.
- Taste a small spoonful of the mousse; adjust sweetness by adding more maple syrup or honey if needed and blend again.
- Transfer the mousse into individual serving dishes and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Serve chilled, topped with fresh berries, chopped nuts, or whipped cream if desired.
