  1. Start by selecting two ripe avocados. Cut each avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the creamy flesh into a blender.
  2. Add 1/4 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder and 3 tablespoons of maple syrup or honey into the blender with the avocado flesh.
  3. Secure the lid on the blender and blend on high speed until completely smooth and creamy, about 1-2 minutes.
  4. Taste a small spoonful of the mousse; adjust sweetness by adding more maple syrup or honey if needed and blend again.
  5. Transfer the mousse into individual serving dishes and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  6. Serve chilled, topped with fresh berries, chopped nuts, or whipped cream if desired.
