  • 2 teaspoons Garam Masala
  • 1 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper Adjust based on heat preference
  • 2 tablespoons Scallions Chopped
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Cilantro Chopped
For the Cucumber Yogurt Sauce
  • 1 medium Cucumber Peeled and drained
  • 1 cup Greek Yogurt Nonfat works well
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Gather all ingredients; rinse and drain chickpeas. Peel and drain cucumber.
  2. Mash chickpeas in a bowl until slightly textured. Mix in panko, spices, scallions, and cilantro.
  3. Form the mixture into patties, about ½ inch thick. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Heat oil in a skillet and cook patties for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Mix cucumber, yogurt, salt, and pepper to prepare the sauce.
  6. Serve patties on buns or lettuce wraps topped with yogurt sauce.
