Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare two 9-inch springform pans with parchment paper and non-stick cooking spray.
- In a standing mixer, combine the cake mix, pudding mix, eggs, oil, and water. Mix on medium speed for 3-4 minutes until smooth.
- Pour the batter evenly into the prepared pans and bake for 35-45 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool the cakes in their pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely for about 30 minutes.
- Beat the cream cheese until smooth, then gradually add powdered sugar. Fold in the Cool Whip, pecans, and chocolate bars.
- Slice each cake in half horizontally to create four layers. Stack the layers with frosting in between.
- Warm the cream in a saucepan, then whisk in the chocolate chips until smooth. Allow to cool slightly before drizzling over the frosted cake.
