Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare two 9-inch springform pans with parchment paper and non-stick cooking spray.
  2. In a standing mixer, combine the cake mix, pudding mix, eggs, oil, and water. Mix on medium speed for 3-4 minutes until smooth.
  3. Pour the batter evenly into the prepared pans and bake for 35-45 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  4. Cool the cakes in their pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely for about 30 minutes.
  5. Beat the cream cheese until smooth, then gradually add powdered sugar. Fold in the Cool Whip, pecans, and chocolate bars.
  6. Slice each cake in half horizontally to create four layers. Stack the layers with frosting in between.
  7. Warm the cream in a saucepan, then whisk in the chocolate chips until smooth. Allow to cool slightly before drizzling over the frosted cake.
  8. Pipe decorative swirls of chocolate frosting around the edges of the cake for elegance.
