  • 24 cookies Chocolate Sandwich Cookies Gluten-free cookies can be used
  • 1/2 cup Melted Butter
For the Cream Cheese Layer
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese Low-fat can be used
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar Granulated sugar can be used, but with a different texture
  • 16 oz Whipped Topping Divided, consider homemade whipped cream
For the Chocolate Pudding Layer
  • 2 packages Instant Chocolate Pudding Mix Can experiment with other flavors
  • 3 cups Cold Milk No substitutes recommended
For Garnishing
  • Chocolate Shavings or Crushed Cookies Optional for garnish

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Crush the chocolate sandwich cookies into fine crumbs and mix with melted butter. Press into bottom of a 9x13-inch dish. Chill for 15-20 minutes.
  2. Beat softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Fold in half of the whipped topping and spread over crust.
  3. Whisk chocolate pudding mix with cold milk for 2-3 minutes until thickened, then spread over cream cheese layer.
  4. Spread remaining whipped topping over pudding layer, smoothing for presentation.
  5. Garnish with chocolate shavings or crushed cookies. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4-6 hours or overnight.
