  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning or Creole seasoning as an alternative
For the Wrapper
  • 12 count egg roll wrappers gluten-free wrappers can be used
For Frying
  • 2 cups vegetable oil canola or peanut oil is a good alternative

Preparation Steps
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cream cheese, diced sausage (if using), chopped green onions, cheddar cheese, a splash of hot sauce, and Cajun seasoning. Mix everything together until well-blended and creamy.
  2. Lay an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface with a corner pointing towards you. Spoon about 2 tablespoons of the filling onto the lower corner of the wrapper. Fold that corner over the filling, tuck in the sides securely, and roll it up tightly toward the top corner. Seal the edge with a bit of beaten egg.
  3. In a deep skillet, pour in approximately 2 inches of vegetable oil and heat it over medium-high heat to about 350°F (175°C).
  4. Carefully place the assembled egg rolls in the hot oil, cooking them in batches for about 3-4 minutes until they are golden brown and crispy.
  5. After a brief cooling period, serve your flavorful Voodoo Egg Rolls while still warm, alongside your favorite dipping sauces.
