  • 100 grams Breadcrumbs can be replaced with panko or crushed crackers
  • 1 large Egg or a flaxseed mixture for egg-free option
  • 1 medium Onion finely chopped, can substitute with shallots
  • 2 tablespoons Mustard Dijon or yellow mustard recommended
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Parsley can be replaced with chives or cilantro
  • 1 teaspoon Salt adjust according to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper adjust according to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika can add nutmeg or garlic powder if desired
  • 2 slices Stale Bread can be soaked in milk if breadcrumbs are not available

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef and pork with breadcrumbs, egg, finely chopped onion, mustard, parsley, and spices. Mix until just combined.
  2. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 10-15 minutes to meld flavors and firm up the mixture.
  3. Remove the mixture and shape it into round patties about ¾ inch thick.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat, add oil, and cook the patties for 5-7 minutes per side until golden brown.
  5. Transfer cooked patties to a warm serving platter and serve hot with mustard, potatoes, or salad.
