  • 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar

  • 1/2 cup Melted Butter
  • 1 large Egg

  • 1/4 cup Softened Butter
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Ground Cinnamon
Glaze Ingredients
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 2 tablespoons Milk for consistency

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. In a small bowl, combine the warm milk with the yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, and salt. Set aside.
  3. Add the milk mixture, melted butter, and egg to the dry ingredients. Mix until a shaggy dough forms, then knead on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel and let it rise for 1 hour until doubled.
  5. Punch down the dough, roll it out to 1/4 inch, spread softened butter and sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  6. Tightly roll the dough into a log, slice into 12 pieces, and place in a greased baking dish.
  7. Cover with a towel and let rise for 30 minutes.
  8. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Prepare the glaze by beating cream cheese, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
  10. Pour the glaze over the warm rolls and serve.
