Method

Step-by-Step Instructions for Iced Turmeric Green Tea
  1. Start by bringing 4 cups of water to a rolling boil in a medium saucepan over high heat. Once boiling, add a stick of cinnamon bark, allowing it to infuse the water with its warm aroma. Let this simmer for about 5 minutes.
  2. After 5 minutes, add 2 tablespoons of loose green tea or 2 green tea bags to the saucepan. Remove the pan from heat and cover it, allowing the tea to steep for 3–5 minutes.
  3. Stir in 1 tablespoon of turmeric and a pinch of black pepper into the tea mixture. Lower the heat to medium-low and let this simmer for an additional minute.
  4. Carefully strain the tea mixture into a large heatproof pitcher using a fine-mesh strainer to remove the solids.
  5. While the tea is still warm, stir in 2 tablespoons of organic raw honey, adjusting to taste. Allow the tea to cool to room temperature before refrigerating for about 30 minutes.
  6. Once chilled, fill a glass with ice cubes and pour your Iced Turmeric Green Tea over the ice. Garnish with fresh mint leaves.
