Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, cumin, oregano, cayenne pepper, and lime juice. Mix well to create a marinade.
Add the chicken thighs to the bowl and coat them thoroughly with the marinade. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes at room temperature, or refrigerate for up to 4 hours for more flavor.
Place the marinated chicken thighs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, skin side up.
Roast in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and the skin is crispy.
Remove from the oven and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with chopped cilantro before serving.
