- Season 1 pound of peeled and deveined large shrimp with salt and black pepper to taste. Set aside.
- Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering. Add the seasoned shrimp and sauté for 2-3 minutes per side until pink. Remove and keep warm.
- Lower the heat to medium and add 3 tablespoons of unsalted butter to the skillet. Once melted, add 4 minced garlic cloves and sauté for 30-45 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in 1/2 cup of heavy cream, 1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese, 1/2 teaspoon of Italian seasoning, and 1/4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes. Stir until it simmers and thickens slightly.
- Return the shrimp to the skillet, toss in the sauce for 1 minute, and stir in 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice. Serve hot, garnished with optional parsley.
