Ingredients

  • 1 can 14.75 ounces salmon, drained and flaked
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil for frying
For the creamy lemon garlic sauce:
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh dill or 1/2 teaspoon dried dill
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

  1. In a large bowl, combine the flaked salmon, breadcrumbs, onion, bell pepper, mayonnaise, egg, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into patties, about 2-3 inches in diameter. You should have about 6-8 patties.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the salmon patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the sour cream, mayonnaise, lemon juice, minced garlic, and dill. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Serve the salmon patties warm, drizzled with the creamy lemon garlic sauce.
