Preparation
- Soak the fresh beef liver in a bowl of milk for about 30 minutes.
- Slice the sweet onion into rings or half-moons.
- In a skillet, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat.
- Add the sliced onions to the skillet and sauté for 5-7 minutes until soft and golden brown.
- Stir in minced garlic and cook for an additional minute before transferring to a plate.
- Season the soaked liver with salt and pepper after patting it dry.
- Cook the liver in the same skillet over medium-high heat for 3-4 minutes per side.
- Plate the liver and top with the caramelized onions and garnish with herbs.
