Step-by-Step Instructions for Beef Yakiniku
  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the marinade ingredients until well combined and the brown sugar dissolves.
  2. Add the thinly sliced flank or skirt steak to the bowl and ensure each piece is well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat your wok over high heat until slightly smoking.
  4. Shake off excess marinade from half of the beef slices and sear in the hot wok for about 3 minutes until a crust forms. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until browned.
  5. Transfer the cooked steak to a warm serving bowl and repeat with the remaining beef.
  6. Once all beef is cooked, sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve with steamed rice and fresh chopped vegetables.
