Step‑by‑Step Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine ¼ cup of avocado oil, ¼ cup of honey, ¼ cup of tamari, 4 minced garlic cloves, 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar, 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika, and 1 teaspoon of garlic powder. Whisk the ingredients together until smooth.
- Place 6 chicken thighs in a large ziplock bag or bowl with a lid. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring each piece is well coated. Seal the bag or cover the bowl tightly, then let the chicken marinate at room temperature for 20–30 minutes.
- While the chicken is marinating, preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- After marinating, remove the chicken thighs from the bag or bowl and place them skin-side up on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Reserve the remaining marinade for later.
- Slide the baking sheet into the preheated oven and bake the chicken for about 25 minutes, or until the thighs are golden brown and reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- While the chicken bakes, pour the reserved marinade into a small saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat. Once boiling, reduce the heat and let it simmer for 5–7 minutes until thickened.
- Once the chicken is done baking, remove it from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. Serve your Easy Honey Garlic Chicken Thighs over a bed of steamed rice or alongside fresh vegetables.
