Preparation Steps
- Remove the thin membrane from the back of the ribs using a sharp knife and a paper towel.
- In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, kosher salt, and black pepper. Mix well and coat the ribs generously.
- Pour water and apple cider vinegar into the Instant Pot. Place the metal trivet inside.
- Arrange the ribs on the trivet, making sure they fit snugly but not too tightly.
- Lock the Instant Pot lid and set the valve to sealing. Cook on High Pressure for 30 minutes.
- After cooking, allow it to naturally release pressure for 10 minutes, then perform a quick release.
- Transfer ribs to a baking sheet and brush with half of the BBQ sauce. Broil for 3 to 5 minutes.
- Brush with remaining BBQ sauce, slice between the bones, and serve.
