  • 1 cup Fresh Mozzarella Pearls or larger mozzarella if needed
  • 1 cup Cherry Tomatoes black cherry tomatoes recommended for spooky flair
For the Dressing
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil mild oil substitute is acceptable
  • 1 tablespoon Balsamic Vinegar balsamic glaze can be used for sweetness
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black Pepper
For Garnishing
  • 1 cup Fresh Basil Leaves purple basil can be an interesting twist
  • 1/4 cup Toasted Pine Nuts optional for added crunch

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Prepare the skulls by pressing fresh mozzarella pearls into skull molds firmly.
  2. Melt the filled molds in the microwave for 20–30 seconds or in a preheated oven at 350°F for 6–8 minutes.
  3. Absorb any excess liquid by pressing paper towels on the melted mozzarella.
  4. Chill the molds in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes.
  5. Unmold the skull-shaped mozzarella carefully.
  6. Mix the unmolded mozzarella skulls with halved cherry tomatoes in a large bowl.
  7. Dress the salad by drizzling with olive oil and balsamic vinegar, then sprinkle salt and black pepper.
  8. Garnish with fresh basil leaves and toasted pine nuts before serving.
