  • 2 cups powdered sugar sifted
  • 1/4 cup milk adjust for consistency
For Decoration
  • 1 cup sugar sprinkles optional
  • 1/2 cup black sugar pearls optional

Step‑By‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Sift together the all-purpose flour, corn starch, baking powder, and lemon zest in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Cream the softened butter, shortening, and granulated sugar together in a separate bowl until light and fluffy.
  4. Add in the egg, vanilla essence, and almond essence, mixing until well combined.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. If necessary, wrap the dough in plastic wrap and chill for 15-20 minutes.
  7. Roll out the dough to about 1/4-inch thickness and cut out bunny shapes.
  8. Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 9-10 minutes.
  9. Cool the cookies on the baking sheets for about 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
  10. Beat together the softened butter and powdered sugar until creamy, then add vanilla essence and milk.
  11. Pipe the frosting onto the cooled cookies and decorate with sprinkles and sugar pearls.
  12. Let the decorated cookies sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes to set.
