Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Activate the yeast by combining warm milk, sugar, and instant yeast in a bowl. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. Prepare the dough by mixing flour, sugar, salt; adding yeast mixture, eggs, and butter. Knead until smooth and elastic.
  3. Allow the dough to rise in a greased bowl, covered, for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.
  4. Make custard: heat milk and sugar, whisk yolks and cornstarch; combine and cook until thickened.
  5. Prepare strawberries with sugar and lemon juice; mix with whipped cream for filling.
  6. Fill dough balls with custard and strawberry filling, seal them, and let rise again for 30-45 minutes on a baking sheet.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
