Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries hulled and sliced
  • 1 medium banana frozen
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk or milk of choice
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup optional
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup rolled oats
  • 1 tablespoon Greek yogurt optional for creaminess
  • Ice cubes optional, for a thicker smoothie

Method
 

  1. In a blender, combine the fresh strawberries, frozen banana, almond milk, protein powder, honey or maple syrup (if using), vanilla extract, rolled oats, and Greek yogurt (if using).
  2. Blend on high until smooth and creamy. If you prefer a thicker consistency, add a few ice cubes and blend again.
  3. Taste the smoothie and adjust sweetness if necessary by adding more honey or maple syrup.
  4. Pour the smoothie into a glass and garnish with a few sliced strawberries or a dollop of Greek yogurt on top if desired.
