  • 1/4 cup Honey Can substitute with maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup Sriracha sauce Adjust to spice preference
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable or Canola Oil Canola oil or olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Lime Juice Can substitute with lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons Rice Wine Vinegar Apple cider vinegar works too
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder Fresh onion can be used
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Lime Zest

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Soak wooden skewers in water for 10 to 30 minutes to prevent burning.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together honey, sriracha, oil, lime juice, lime zest, rice wine vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt. Reserve half for basting.
  3. Marinate chicken chunks in half the marinade for at least 30 minutes in an airtight container.
  4. Preheat grill to medium-high heat (at least 350°F). Clean and oil the grates.
  5. Thread marinated chicken onto soaked skewers, spacing evenly.
  6. Grill skewers for about 4 minutes on one side, flipping and basting with reserved marinade every 2 minutes until cooked (8-10 minutes total).
  7. Remove from grill and let rest for a moment before serving.
