Step-by-Step Instructions for Texas Roadhouse Salmon
  1. Start by patting the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel, ensuring they’re moisture-free for a perfect sear.
  2. In a bowl, mix together brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Generously season both sides of the salmon fillets with this mixture.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium heat (about 350°F) or the oven to 350°F (175°C) depending on your cooking method.
  4. If grilling, place the seasoned salmon fillets skin-side down on the hot grill and cook for approximately 6-8 minutes per side.
  5. For baking, place the seasoned salmon on a prepared baking sheet and bake for about 15 minutes, until it reaches 145°F (63°C).
  6. If grilling, melt some butter in a small saucepan and baste the salmon in the last few minutes of grilling.
  7. Remove the salmon from the grill or oven once it reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C) and flakes easily with a fork.
  8. Allow the salmon to rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
