Step-by-Step Instructions

  2. Trim the ends of the large sweet onion, peel it, and gently core out the center, leaving half an inch around the edges.
  3. Stuff the hollowed onion with 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter, then place it on aluminum foil.
  4. Melt the remaining butter in a microwave-safe bowl for 20-30 seconds, then whisk in minced garlic and seasonings.
  5. Pour the seasoned butter mixture into the hollowed center of the onion, ensuring it's well distributed.
  6. Wrap the onion tightly in aluminum foil and place on a baking sheet. Bake for 90 minutes.
